The Blue Cheese Goop

This week I got a school break so that's why I was eating out on a Monday. We didn't know we were going to go here in the first place. I'll tell you the story of what was happening before that.

We were planning on going to a restaurant called the tamale factory. But it was closed. So I said I wanted to go to a dive. So we went up west. We first found subway but thats a really popular place. Next we found a restaurant called lily or it might have been pronounced another way but we didn't pick that place. Next we found several mexican restaurants that were all no no's. Next we found a italian restaurant but we were not interested in italian food. Then we got to beaverdale. We found some restaurants that we were interested in. One of them was called flara's. Since it was in cursive we knew it       was a fancy restaurant. And plus it looked a little to fancy but my mom liked the chairs. Next we tried a  place called good son's. I saw a bud light sign so i figured it was a american food place. So we had to walk through the freezing cold wind. When we got there the restaurant was.....CLOSED!!!! I was mad at that point because we walked through the freezing cold for nothing. Well there was another restaurant called tally's. So we walked through the wind to the restaurant. We found a restaurant finally.
When we got to the restaurant, the first thing that was good about the restaurant was that it was pretty warm inside. But when I saw the atmosphere in the room I thought it was a vegetarian place but when I saw the bacon wrapped radishes on the menu I knew this was going to be a me friendly place. And guess what there was for an appetizer? bacon wrapped  radishes with blue cheese fondue. But the funky thing about it was that instead of bread there was bacon wrapped radishes. I think the best thing about it was that the creaminess of the cheese mixed with the crunch of the radish and the tenderness of the bacon I just think that that was a awesome mix.

Then I ordered my lunch. I got a B.L.T. wrap. I got it because I thought it sounded cool. For a side I got tally's chips. They are tally's homemade potato chips. I like them because they have seasoning on them the seasoning added a little pop of flavor to the dull taste in the salt. I think that adding the seasoning to the chips was very creative. The B.L.T. wrap was very good. It did not taste like a normal B.L.T. for some reason the mayo or the bread made the lettuce taste better. The tomatos made no difference. But I think having IOWA cider bacon was the key flavor. Plus it was pretty messy. The end. Other info: mazy typed it this time. If i can keep writing my reviews I will do them whenever I get the chance. Please give me your opinion if wether  you want my mom to type my reviews or if you want me to type my reviews.

  1. Hi Mazy, My name is Erin and I used to work with your mom. I met you a long long time ago... how old are you now?! I can't believe you are typing these reviews all by yourself. I think that's awesome. I enjoy reading your reviews. You are a great writer, just like your mom. I've been to Tally's before for dinner, but never for lunch. I think I need to try it. Those radishes sounded so cool! I wish you would go out to eat with my 3 kids and get them to try new things. We have a rule that you have to try one bite of everything on your plate. They don't do this as easily as you do. Any tips to get them to be more adventurous like you? Looking forward to hearing about your next restaurant review. Hope that cold air and wind dies down over night... you were right. It was chilly today! Take care, Erin Bemis

    1. I am now 8 years old. And here are some tips you might want to use to make your kids better eaters. So go to a mexican restaurant and get tacos for If they don't like it don't do the 1 bite thing make them eat at least half of it if they like it go to another restaurant, if they don't try the same kind of restaurant. If they do like it go to another restaurant and here can be a new rule if they try 2 new foods they get to eat the foods they like.

  2. Hi Mazy... My name is Jami and I like your reviews very much. I liked this one so much that I had to get out of my bed (where I was reading it on my iPhone) so that I could go get my laptop and type a comment under your review. That's how much I liked it. And if you knew how cold my room was, you'd know that I do NOT like to get out of bed if I don't have to.

I like that you typed this. I bet it's a lot of time to type up so much stuff, but you did a great job. I think you should keep doing it, unless you get tired of typing or unless there's a good show on that you want to watch in which case I'd have your mom type the rest, but only what you want her to type.

I haven't been to Tally's in awhile. One time I got spaghetti there and since spaghetti is my favorite food, I have pretty high expectations of my spaghetti. But you know what? It wasn't very good. I mean, it's just two things: noodles and sauce. How hard could that be? I guess it was too hard.

I bet we like the same kind of things. I like bacon like you do. And I also like fancy restaurants (I'm not sure if you like these or just the font) and I also like things at American restaurants like Budweiser and cheeseburgers. But I only like cheese on my burgers and no ketchup or mustard. Same for my hot dogs. Some people say that's dumb or that's too plain but that's how I like it so I tell them to leave me alone. I also love BLT's. But I have them without mayo. Do you know who has the best BLT's? The Drake Diner. You should try them. And if you like wings, you should also get an order of wings there because those wings are my favorite.

Thank you for these great reviews, Mazy. I can't wait to read the next one!

  3. Hi Mazy, my name is Shelby. I worked with your mom when she was pregnant with you. I've met you a few times, and your brother when he was born, but haven't got to meet your sister yet. Soon, I hope. I LOVE your reviews. You are a very adventurous eater. That is wonderful. Your reviews are great. I've been to Tally's for dinner with my husband, and we really loved it. We'll have to try lunch. Those bacon wrapped radishes with blue cheese fondue sound AMAZING! I love how you describe the textures. I think you're doing a wonderful job writing the reviews all on your own! Keep up the good work. Best, Shelby

  4. Mazy, keep writing! You did an amazing job of describing your thoughts and the food you tasted. I am often surprised at how open you are to various foods. So you like bleu cheese?!!! The bacon wrapped radishes sound intriguing, but the bleu cheese might scare me off.

I thought it was smart of you to figure out a restaurant name written in cursive might be fancy. I never thought of that. But, you are probably right.

Maybe some day you will be a food critic for a big town newspaper. That would be cool, wouldn't it? I bet they get their food paid for, what do you think?

Keep writing. You're doing great on your own!

  5. Hi Mazy Man, I think your reviews are very good. I have not been to Tallys but I think we need to go there soon! I love blue cheese and radishes but Theron said to tell you she would not be eating that stinky cheese with you. I think it is an aquired taste that will take her a while to like-she likes sardines and sushi, so I think she will like stinkey cheese someday like you. Maybe this summer you can take us on a restaurant tour of your favorite places.
